East African American Community provides culturally and linguistically accessible education support and referral services to facilitate the health and wellness all immigrant families. It’s a nonprofit community organization unites many faces, one strength, it brings resources and expertise together and matches them with the needs of all immigrants, and others, helping them transition and integrate smoothly in a new society and economic structure.
About Us
The East African American staff and board of directors are a group of individuals consisting of public health professionals, program directors, health coordinators/educators, interpreters and social workers as well as general public
Our Mision
The Mission of East African American Community is to improve health, education and Youth Employment outcomes of all immigrants, a special focus on East African that honors the cultural social and community perspectives through partnerships in education research, publications and advocacy. This center is committed to reduce barriers to health education cultural and strengthening their network of support and services
Our Vision
Our vision is to reduce health disparities and improve employment outcomes by providing education, in all immigrants with special focus on people from horn of Africa and works together to sustain positive health and education outreaches through, Developing meaningful partnerships, Assuring accountability in programming and research, Advocating culturally appropriate and relevant policies and Initiating education for providers and community leaders
EAA believes in maintaining partnerships and collaborate with the community to improve awareness of health concerns and services through informational sessions, seminars, publications, forums and the development of educational and empowering materials.
